1. Personal data we process
Through this website, we only process personal data that is needed for contact handling, request processing and the functioning of the website. This may include:
- name;
- organisation;
- email address;
- phone number (if you provide it);
- information about the requested training, group size and preferred location;
- the content of your message or additional information entered in the contact form;
- language preference stored locally in your browser;
- website and device information that may be collected through analytical cookies if you give consent.
2. How we use your data
We use this data to:
- reply to your message or request;
- prepare a training proposal or next step;
- stay in touch about your request or assignment;
- keep the website technically functional;
- analyse website usage, but only if you consent to analytical cookies.
We do not automatically use contact form data for newsletters or other marketing unless you separately and explicitly consent to that.
3. Legal bases for processing
We only process personal data when there is a valid legal basis. For contact requests and training enquiries, we process data because this is necessary to respond to your message and to prepare a proposal or follow-up action at your request. For analytical cookies and Google Analytics, we ask for consent in advance through the cookie banner. Functional storage that is necessary for the website to work properly, such as remembering your language preference, is used without additional consent.
4. Contact form and Web3Forms
The contact form on this website is processed via Web3Forms. This service helps securely forward your form submission to our email address. For the exact way this provider processes data, please refer to the Web3Forms privacy policy.
5. Google Analytics
If you give consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to gain insight into how our website is used. This may include information about visited pages, visit duration, browser, device and general traffic origin. We use this information to improve the website and not to personally profile visitors.
Analytical cookies are only placed after you have given consent through the cookie banner. If you do not consent, these cookies will not be placed.
6. Cookies and local storage
Functional
- Language preference and language suggestion - We store your explicit language choice in your browser's local storage so the website can display the correct language. If your browser does not use Dutch and the hosting provider or CDN only provides a general country-code signal outside the Netherlands and Belgium, we may show a subtle suggestion for the English version. This information is not used for tracking.
Analytical (only after consent)
- Google Analytics cookies – These cookies help us understand how the website is used. They are only placed if you consent.
You can refuse non-functional cookies via the cookie banner. You can also remove previously placed cookies through your browser settings.
7. Google Fonts
This website uses fonts from Google Fonts. As a result, loading a page may create a connection to Google's servers. In that process, Google may receive technical data such as your IP address and information about your browser. We mention this so you know that data may also be processed through this route.
8. Sharing with third parties
We do not sell your personal data. We only share data with parties that are necessary for the website to function or for handling your message, such as:
- Web3Forms – for processing and forwarding contact form submissions;
- Google – for Google Analytics (after consent) and for loading Google Fonts.
9. Transfers outside the European Economic Area
Because we use services from external providers, personal data may be processed outside the European Economic Area. If this happens, we rely on the safeguards and arrangements used by the relevant provider.
10. Retention periods
We do not keep personal data from contact requests longer than necessary. In practice, we use the following starting points:
- general contact requests without a follow-up assignment: in principle up to 12 months after the last contact;
- data that leads to a quotation, assignment or follow-up track: as long as needed for preparation, delivery and administrative handling;
- data in analytical tools: according to the settings and retention periods of the service used.
11. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse or unauthorised access. The website uses a secure connection (HTTPS).
12. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have rights including access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability and — in some cases — objection to processing. To exercise these rights, please contact us at info@mellaart-trainingen.nl.
If your request concerns data processed on the basis of consent, you may also withdraw that consent. This applies, for example, to analytical cookies.
13. Automated decision-making
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling through this website that produces legal effects or similarly significant consequences for you.
14. Complaints
If you have a complaint about how we handle personal data, please contact us first. If we cannot resolve the issue together, you may file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
15. Changes
We may update this privacy policy if our website, working methods or applicable legislation changes. The most recent version will always be available on this page.
