Practical information

Everything you need to know

Approach

The training combines short theory segments with extensive hands-on exercises in Power BI Desktop. We work with example data that matches your sector or, preferably, with your own data sources so you can use the results immediately.

Prior knowledge

Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 is sufficient. Experience with Excel is an advantage as Power Query and data modelling use similar concepts, but it is not required. We will assess the level of participants during our preliminary conversation and adapt the programme accordingly.

Software and licences

Power BI Desktop is free to download and is used during the training. To publish and share reports within your organisation, a Power BI Pro licence is required. We are happy to advise you on licensing options.

Materials and follow-up

Each participant receives a comprehensive summary, reference cards with commonly used DAX functions and Power Query steps, and access to the training exercise files. You can always contact us with questions after the training.

Custom training and combinations

Would you like to combine Power BI with an Excel advanced or Microsoft 365 Copilot training? Or an in-depth session specifically for your finance team? We are happy to put together a programme that fits your needs.

Our approach

From request to result

Every Power BI training is carefully prepared and tailored to your organisation and data sources.

1

Introduction

A brief conversation to understand your needs, the level of participants and the data sources used in your organisation. No obligation.

2

Tailored programme

We design a programme with exercises and examples that match your sector and the data your team works with every day.

3

Training delivery

Interactive, practical and focused on immediate results. Online or on-site. Participants build their first reports during the training.

4

Follow-up

Summary, exercise files and the option for a follow-up session. So that what was learned sticks and is applied straight away.
